Mary Ball Woman's Club
Who We Are
The Mary Ball Womans Club was founded as a chapter of the Woman's Club of Fredericksburg in June 1962. In April, 1964, the club became an independent organization federated by the Virginia Federation of Women’s Clubs (VFWC) and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), the largest independent group of women volunteers in the world.
Today the club has members from the greater Fredericksburg area. The club meets the fourth Wednesday of every month.
GFWC Mary Ball Womans Club is a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Honoring the motto of “Unity in Diversity,” we come together as unique individuals dedicated to community improvement through conservation, education, fine arts, home life and public affairs.
Our mission is to enhance the lives of others in the Fredericksburg community through volunteer service and fundraising and to serve each other through social and cultural activities.
Joining Us
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Mary Ball Womans Club please join us at one of our monthly meetings to preview the club. Then, if you are interested in joining, you will be sponsored by an active club member and endorsed by a second club member. All new prospective candidates for membership will be presented at a club meeting for voting process.
We strongly encourage all members and prospective members to be registered voters. Each member maintains active membership by attending monthly meetings and participating in club activities.
We meet the fourth Wednesday of every month except June, July and August.
